Now more than ever, an informed design strategy is required to lighting’s role in creating a public realm for people.

How can lighting design and technology in cities, support sustainable activities such as walking and cycling, whilst encouraging the night-time economy? How can we support local initiatives in the context of a city-wide masterplan? And what technology and techniques can drive engagement and liveability in our cities?

In this timely conference, we’ll explore the transformative power of lighting interventions in challenging urban areas, and look at a range of successful projects both in the UK and overseas.
