I specialise in lighting and environment physics, as well as using computer modelling as a tool to facilitate sustainable design. As a lighting designer my focus is in understanding our human needs for lighting, and using this knowledge in addition to my scientific background to develop schemes which are both satisfying and also meet the highest standards of aesthetic and environmental design.

My work has included feature lighting for the 2012 Olympic Water Polo, low energy theatre house lighting systems at Hull Truck Theatre and Corby Cube, heritage lighting at Harrogate Royal Hall, light-art at UCL, and daylit gallery design at Tate’s Britain and Switch House.
