Jeff Shaw is a lighting designer and an Associate Director of Ove Arup & Partners International Ltd. He is also the current president of the Society of Light & Lighting.He has experience working in multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of building projects.
These include lighting for high-profile projects such as the Millennium Bridge in London, the Beijing National Stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games and, most recently, the extension to the Tate Modern. Jeff currently leads a number of rail lighting design projects, including stations for Crossrail, the Paris Metro and the Riyadh Metro as well as design consultancy for HS2. Jeff plays an active role in promoting lighting design within the firm, in educating young designers and engineers in lighting and in marketing the business externally.
He has lectured architectural students at London Metropolitan University, University of Bath and Berlin Technical University, and has appeared as a lighting expert on the BBC TV show, ‘Mary Queen of Shops
